All About St. Louis SCI
Who We Are
SCI Hunters Code of Ethics:
• To conduct myself in the field so as to make a positive contribution to wildlife and ecosystems.
• To improve my skills as a woodsman and marksman to ensure humane harvesting of wildlife.
• To comply with all game laws, in the spirit of Fair Chase, and to influence companions accordingly.
• To accept my responsibility to provide all possible assistance to game law enforcement officers.
• To waste no opportunity to teach young people the full meaning of this code of ethics.
• To reflect in word and behavior only credit upon the fraternity of sportsmen, and to demonstrate abiding respect for game, habitat and property where I am privileged to hunt.
The Gateway Area Chapter of Safari Club International (SCI) was chartered in 2005 to promote, educate and conserve the traditions of hunting. The founding members believed in the ideals and ethics proposed by SCI and wanted to be a part of the organization. There were 18 founding charter members who made this dream become a reality.

Our members are making a difference in the lives of Missourians and others around the world.

Our charitable programs include:

Safari Wish - Designed to fulfill the wishes of children battling life-threatening illnesses by taking them hunting and fishing. The outing is videotaped and taxidermy work is included. To see the smiles on these children's faces and the joy in their parents is something to behold. View Photos!

Sensory Safari - A 28-foot handicapped-accessible trailer with 50 mounts from around the world. The trailer has been to many locations and toured by thousands of people.

Sportsman Against Hunger - A program designed to help feed Missouri's needy. Hunters can donate venison after a successful deer hunt to one of our participating processors.

Safari Conservation - Provides funding for a program in Africa that supports Black Rhino breeding and protects them from poaching.
